 Introducing Miss Sophia!

A bundle of chubby goodness! She was a Doll, and I would have kept her had mom let me :)
She slept like an Angel and let me pose her anyway I wanted, UNTIL I tried to do the Head in Hands pose. By then she was d.o.n.e. BUT I still love her pics and how the came out! Enjoy!

Kyler {Newborn} 14 days New

Kyler {Newborn} 14 days new

Kyler was a little older then what I normally take Newborns at for their pics. But as you can see in his pics, he was a DREAM baby! He only cried once when he was hungry, and fused for a few seconds when moving to a new pose. Other wise, he was perfect! He christened my props and myself, lol, but then again, what baby hasn't at a Newborn session?

Kyler is the youngest of 4 boys! Mom has her hands filled! But she is very blessed to have 4 little men who will cherish her for ever!

I hope you enjoy the images I captured of Kyler today! <3

My 365 {My Boys}

So Honestly, I had NO intentions of doing this this year.. I tried a 52 challenge last year and only made it for 2 weeks.... No way did I think that a 365 would be possible if I couldn't stick with a 52 {1 image a week}. BUT, then a great friend {Donna} mentioned she wanted to do a 365 for each of her boys... she has three!! She was looking for others to do this with her and help each other along the way, with support and encouraging words <3 So I said what the heck, lets do it! And boy, am I glad I decided to do this!

My plan is to put a book together at the end of the year for each of my boys. It will be something they can look back on and see how much they have grown. Will make a great keep sake, and I can also see how much I have grown {hopefully} as a photographer!

I have remembered to take a pic, or in my case MANY pic, everyday of the boys.. And if they feel I have waited to long to take their pic, they will for sure remember to tell me! HA!

I also decided to do all the pics in Black and White.

I hope you enjoy what I have so far {not even close to all that I have, just a few posted here} and I look forward to sharing more :)

Change in 2013

Starting in 2013 I will be introducing my new pricing and collections!

I know not all my current or past clients will be able to afford my pricing, but this is what I feel I have to do to make a living for my family. I will be focusing more on Newborn and Child Photography. I will no longer be offering weddings AT ALL. I will still be available for engagement sessions and such, but will not be offering Wedding packages. I am determined to focus my time and work on the Photography I want to be doing which is Newborns.

Another thing with my pricing that will be changing is I will no longer offer the Disk in most of my collections. It will be available for purchase, but at a much higher price then before.

I know this is a lot of change, but I have to do what I feel is best for my business and my family. I hope you will continue to come see me for your portrait needs, as I have loved working with ALL of you! With out you I would not be where I am today!! You are all awesome!

Below is my New pricing guide and Collections!

Giving Back

Hey Everyone!! I know it has been a while since I blogged, BUT I have tons of new things coming to Christy Kennedy Photography!

First, I have recently become a photographer for a Foundation called The Gold Hope Project. The Gold Hope Project is a team of photographers that have gathered together to raise awareness of childhood cancers. There are over 300 photographers worldwide that offer their services to fighters and survivors, putting faces to facts.

Mission
More precious than the gold that represents them, children are our future.

There are twelve major types of childhood cancers. From there, they are broken down into three groups.

Leukemia's(cancer of the blood)
Lymphomas (cancer of the immune system)
Solid tumors (cancer in bones, organs, or tissue)

The Gold Hope Project is a group of photographers that have come together to capture the moments that these families holds so dear to their heart. Some of us have been touched by the presence of cancer, and some have not, but we have all been given a gift that we would like to share.

Description
Who is eligible?
Any child (infant - 18 years old) diagnosed with cancer of any form. No matter the prognosis the fight is still waged and we support you, this includes those that have won their battle with cancer.

How to apply:
Visit the website at http://goldhopeproject.com/ and fill out the application. You will be
contacted soon to begin scheduling your fighter’s
gold session.

Each fighter will receive a customized gold session yielding at least 10 complimentary digital images, and their story will be showcased on the site and fan page.

This is an AMAZING organization, and I am proud to be a part of it! I look forward to capturing special memories for families and their fighter's.

and 2nd is not only have I been accepted as a photographer for this organization, but I have been approved to be an area coordinator! Meaning I will be matching fighter's with a photographer, getting to know local area photogs and spreading the word to other local areas and people telling them what great things The Gold Hope Project can do!!

This is a very awesome opportunity for me and a great way to give back to others!

You can help spread the word by sending others to this blog and having them fill out an application for a FREE session with TGHP!!

Also new for Christy Kennedy Photography starting in 2013 will be our pricing! More in the next blog!
